Dr. Gianluca Cerri is a board-trained Emergency Medicine physician whose career reflects a balance of clinical excellence, leadership, and service. With decades of experience in high-acuity environments, he has contributed to patient care, emergency systems leadership, academic medicine, and aeromedical services. His academic background includes degrees from Nicholls State University and Louisiana State University Medical School, followed by Emergency Medicine residency training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. His time serving as Chief Resident helped shape his leadership philosophy—centered on accountability, preparation, and teamwork. Dr. Cerri has a particular interest in rural emergency medicine and the integration of computer science into healthcare delivery, recognizing the growing importance of technology in improving outcomes and operational efficiency. Outside of medicine, he values time with family and maintains an active lifestyle that includes sport biking, motocross, and weightlifting.
